Day 2: Hong Kong

Today it poured in Hong Kong. The rain was fun for about 5 minutes... and then we got soaked. We woke up around 9am today, and then walked around Tsim Sha Tsui for half an hour looking for food but couldn't find any so we took the Metro to Hong Kong Island to Wan Chai and ate some derrlicious noodles for lunch.

After asking for directions from a Novotel concierge man we went to Causeway Bay to figure out tour stuff for next week. Next week we're joining tours to go to Yunnan (Kunming, Dali, and Lijiang) and then Guilin. It'll be relaxing and fun, except when they just speak Mandarin and we won't understand a thing. After tourstuff, we went to Times Square, which is when it started pouring.
We bought some fruit and bbq'd meat, and then hung out in the malls while it poured outside. There was a sea of umbrellas and I'm just the perfect height to get my eye poked out by the spokes.
We got back to Tsim Sha Tsui around 6:30pm and now we're just chilling and drying off in our hostel room. It stopped raining but I'm not sure anyone has the motivation to go back outside to wander. Our room is super tiny. But quaint.
That's all for now. Tschuss!
